Yep, BSF is a good bet since we cannot expect everybody to be on Java 6.

Matthew, do you envision allowing Groovy to build panels as well? That
would be terrific ;-)

Finally I would add that Groovy plays nice when compiled to bytecode
(but it stills requires the runtime).
