Hi Patricia,
not that you mean nobody reads your mail...
But I do not really know why it should not work. Therefore I have waited
first for other comments.
I use the feature since some years.

Or do you have NOT added shortcutSpec.xml as resource? E.g.
  <res id="shortcutSpec.xml"
src="product/appl/install/IzPackProjects/AdminClients/ShortcutSpec.xml"/
>
Look into your install.jar. Are there
native/ShellLink.dll
res/shortcutSpec.xml

Look for the spelling, the res id beginns with a short "s". If you have
used a "S", the Shortcut panel will not
find the spec.

Cheers

Klaus

Subject: [izpack-users] help with ShellLink.dll not being added
to installjar file

I can build my install and run the jar and everything works
beautifully on my computer. But when I go to another computer to which
I have copied the install jar file, the shortcut panel does not appear.
Only when I manually add the ShellLink.dll file and the shortcutSpec.xml
file to the same directory as the install jar does the shortcut panel
appear.

	Why? I have the line <native type="izpack" name="ShellLink.dll"
stage="install"/> in my install xml file. Why isn't it included in the
jar file?
