[izpack-users] Shortcut icons 'locked' on Windows?

Hello,

its unbelievable:
When I change the name of one of the icon files, it works.

Its even more weird:

As long as the second icon file has the same name as the first file,
Windows always takes the icon from the first file no matter where the
second icon file is stored in the directory hierarchy.

(Lets say, I have project1/prj1.ico and project2/prj2.ico. Then I copy
the file project2/prj2.ico to project2/prj1.ico (note that its still in
project2-directory).
When I change the icon of a shortcut to "project2/prj1.ico" it always
takes the icon from "project1/prj1.ico". Then I copied project2/prj1.ico
to the root directory (d:\prj1.ico). When I try to change a shortcut
icon to that ico-file, it is not used, but the icon from project1.)

Can things be that bad, or are all my Windows machines messed up?

I never would have expected, that I have to choose totally different
icon filenames even in totally different directories...
If no other solution exists, I'll let the ant script append project name
and the release version string to my icon filenames :-(

best wishes,
Rainer
