[izpack-users] is izpack the right choice ?

hello everyone,

i'm currently  developing a an application based on web-technologies:
it requires an application server (say, Jetty), a dbms (can be
Postgres or Hsqldb) and of course my webapp already deployed in the
shipped application server.

can izpack produce an installer that :
- install the application server (in case of jetty, given the jetty
distribution, is a mater of unzipping its files into a targe
directory);
- install the dbms: i guess postgres has its own installer (at least
the windows version of it - and yes, the installer must be
cross-platform, at least linux/windows),: can izpack delegates to
another installer? if so, how ?
- deploy my webapp (a single .war) to be copied into the application
server /webapps  directory


i also could have the need to put in the automagic-installer bundle
some custom-related infos (as its accountId, to be verified once the
application is installed and running on its platform).

A plus would be to integrate the construction of izpack descriptors in
my build chain: i use maven2 (there's a plugin submitted to the mojo
project  http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MOJO-277 that i want to
investigate, in case izpack revales to be the right way to go).
